The Objectives of the KCC&I |
- Developing friendly relations, common understanding-unanimity among Trade & Industry community. And also to guide them to practice Fair Trade, self-restraint and help society.
- Organize direct or indirect action/plans to safeguard the interest of Trade and Industry to foster mutual co-operation, brotherly attitude amongst them.
- Helping Traders and Industrialists to promote National and International business, provide information/guidance in transport, shipping, manufacturing & banking.
- Work as a pressure group on governance/administration and to oppose, pressurize to change or withdraw laws, regulations affecting Trade and Industry.
- Recommendations are regularly made on matters of interest of Trade/Industry to local state/central governments, on sales tax, income tax, central excise and other commercial taxes.
- Chamber is working for the all round development of the state in general and northern part in particular. Development works related to Roadways, Railways, Water service, Air service and development of civic amenities such as water supply, sewerage etc. are proposed to central, state or municipal corporations by the Chamber.
- Regular parleys are held with Foreign Trade missions and other Chambers in and outside the Country to obtain trade and Industry related Information, Conferences, Fairs and Exhibitions.
- Economic studies are done and conferences, seminars, exhibitions and workshops are arranged. Economists, other knowledgeable persons, dignitaries from government are invited and lectures are arranged for the benefit of the members.
- Chamber guides the members in their problems related to Sales tax, Entry tax, Income tax, and collects information and disseminates information amongst its members.
- Maintains useful library containing book on Acts, Laws of Sales tax, Entry tax, Income tax etc. Newspapers, periodicals from India and are procured for the benefit of the members.
- Chamber publishes house magazine "Karnataka Vanijya" for free circulation amongst members; which contains latest information related to Trade, Industry, Economics, Administration, Management and Government Notifications.
- Chamber sponsored Hubli-Dharwad stock trading house in 1992 to facilitate & protect the interest of public in shares/bonds. Over the years it has grown to new heights.
- Chamber played a role of catalyst in establishing software Technology Park in Hubli. Follow-up measures are being taken by the KCC&I for the development of IT Park persistently.
- Chamber is persistently making efforts for infrastructure development and more particularly development of Information Technology in this part of area, and guiding entrepreneurs in establishing their new ventures and diversity.
